need to go to the computer lab right the fuck now, fuck. stop this fucking around at the desk shit, this is not a good place to write, it is bad, you knew this before but forgot somehow, well friendly chatty post doc is here today to remind you, and curious undergrad is here to remind you. do not write at your desk. it is a sure way to frustration.

lab mate chatting me, and the only thing on my mind is why am i not in the computer lab, so i bring that up, and so we're talking about it as it's happening and it's awkward and still i'm distracted.

ok, so i'm completely envious of your "university" with its fancy "computer labs" that allow you to get away from fuckwits and focus on writing when the time calls for it. you know what i have? an office i share with an inept sort-of advisor and a snivelling, spoiled masters student. what i wouldn't give to have a few days in the basement of reed's chemistry building. or even the ircs. at least people respected the notion of quiet there.
i apologize. that was uncalled for. but the last thing you want when you're trying to focus on getting a paper written is having some GD masters student asking you, "so, when are you going to finish your paper, 'cause i really need your help with my project." gaaaah.
LIZ. I'm in the computer lab now and they're talking and answering their phones, so don't think i don't long for the reed womb as well.

now HERE's something to celebrate: 4 days off because of easter! fuck yeah, living in a country that isn't at all religious anymore but is lazy enough to hang on to the holidays (and food). that's something i can get behind!
