awww, i wanna run away to portland too. i mean real bad. i don't mind the phd, but i am sick of germany, big time. i'm especially sick of the assholes who sit there and tell me americans are fat while they sit there and have no muscle tone at all. and i just ran 14 miles. and then they tell me running that much isn't healthy.

and i don't think i can even spell dousch properly anymore. this word also exists in german and is spelled differently and now i'm confused and just have to guess.

also, my immediate adviser makes this sound every 1-2 minutes. it's a small sound, like he's sucking on something. i don't know if he has some sort of cleft palate or some other sort of fuck up in his mouth, but it drives me CRAZY.
jesse and i could easily set up a refugee camp for yous guys. i have a couch, an extra bike, and the urge to make a lot of soup. hop the next freight train, and hobo your way on over! (and yes, liz, there are totally freight trains that go from berlin to pdx).

or we could get one of those PODS storage containers and make a little house somewhere. like behind wal-mart. (wal-mart sells alcohol now, by the way. beer and wine. and sparks.)
